Cleaning instructions
Body piercings need to be cleaned twice daily every day for the entire healing time we suggest once in the morning and once at night. Do not clean more often as this can irritate your piercing and possibly delay your healing process.
- Before cleaning wash hands thoroughly with liquid antibacterial soap and hot water. If you wish you may wear rubber gloves and/or use a hand sanitizing gel. NEVER EVER TOUCH HEAING PIERCINGS WITH DIRTY HANDS! This is vital for avoiding infections.
- Prepare the area for the cleansing by rinsing or soaking with warm water and be sure to remove and stubborn crust using a cotton swab soaked with warm water. NEVER, EVER PICK AT THE CRUST WITH YOUR FINGERNAILS AND HANDS!
- Apply a small amount of cleaning solution to the area with your clean hands cleanse the area and the jewelry. Gently rotate the jewelry back and forth a few times to work the cleanser through the inside.
- Allow the cleaning solution to saturate the area for a minute or so.
- rinse the area thoroughly under running water while rotating the jewelry back and forth to completely remove the cleanser from inside as well as the outside of the piercing
- Gently pat dry with disposable paper products such as gauze, tissue or paper towels. Do not use cloth items as they harbor bacteria.
Please be patient everybody is unique and healing times can vary considerably. If your piercing is tender or secreting fluid you should continue the care regimen even if it’s past the suggested average healing time range.
